Finding the Best Cordless Saws for Your Garage

Cordless Circular Saws
Cordless handheld circular saws are used to cut wood to size. They can cut plywood, kitchen tops, and with different kinds of blades even cut metal and other materials. A cordless saw uses a rechargeable battery to power it. The new lithium-ion batteries work longer between charges than the other type of batteries that can be found in cordless tools.
There are several different manufactures of cordless circular saws such as Hitachi, Makita, DeWalt, Milwaukee, and Ryobi. There are other manufacturers of these saws as well.
There are several excellent circular saws on the market today. This article will discuss the three circular saws that are considered the best on the market today, as well as the best-rated budget circular saw.
Makita BSS610LXT
This Makita circular saw comes with an 18 volt Lithium-ion battery that completely recharges in 45 minutes. When fully charged it holds a charge for a long time. It has a built in laser guide and an LCD light for when your lightning may be a little less than perfect. This circular saw has a 6.5`` blade, and weighs 7.1 pounds. The only problem it seems to have is that if it is dropped the aluminum base can bend fairly easily. This circular saw got excellent reviews.
DeWalt DC390B
This DeWalt circular saw also has an 18-volt Lithium-ion rechargeable battery that can recharge in under an hour. When fully charged it gives 6-8 hours cutting time, is easy to use and has a fan cooled motor. Like the Makita it has excellent consumer reviews.
Milwaukee 0730-22 V28
This cordless saw like the other two high quality cordless circular saws has a 6 1/2 inch blade and runs on a Lithium-ion battery. It has good power and run time, a comfortable grip and an excellent cutting depth. It is however, quite heavy weighing 16.9 pounds. The saw itself is guaranteed for 5 years and the battery is guaranteed for two if the saw is registered with the company after purchase. It too has received excellent reviews and most consumers who wrote the reviews stated that they really liked the comfortable grip and the good cutting depth. If you are looking for a top of the line cordless circular saw any one of these three saws would be an excellent choice. While the Makita got top reviews from consumer search the other two saws are pretty comparable.
Budget choice
For those who are looking to spend somewhat less than the $300.00 or more that the top of line cordless circular saws sells for, a good choice is the Ryobi P500. This circular saw has a 5.5-inch blade and uses a Ni-Cad battery, though you can get a lithium-ion battery for it. It does have a laser guide, comfortable handle, and dust blower. It seems to be a good little circular saw when used occasionally and tends to cut less smoothly than the top of the line saws do. However, with a selling price of between $60.00-$100.00 this is an excellent saw for someone who is on a budget and uses a circular saw only on occasion.
Spending a bit more money and getting one of the models with more features and a smoother cut would better serve people who do a lot of work with circular saws.
